Science Department, in collaboration with the IQAC, Prof. Pooran Singh Society, Green Squad Club, and Red Ribbon Club of Kamla Nehru College for Women in Phagwara, inaugurated a three-day workshop for National Science Day on February 26, 2024, with an extension lecture on the theme “Science for a Sustainable Future” focusing on the topic of “Life Essentials Depletion and the Role of Society.” Ms. Jaspreet and Ms. Sara from the Economics Department served as the resource persons for the lecture, enlightening both faculty and students about the significance of various renewable and non-renewable sources. The primary objective of this event was to cultivate awareness among students about sustainable approaches and the crucial role society plays in preserving life essentials. The workshop saw the enthusiastic participation of 100 students who engaged with great zeal. Dr. Savinder Pal, the college Principal, congratulated the students and faculty and encouraged them to continue organizing such events in the future to promote sustainability and environmental consciousness.
