A  magnificent sports extravaganza was organized at Kamla Nehru College for Women on March 6th, 2023. The Annual Sports Meet was organised by the organising committee Madam Sunita, Harvinder Chauhan ,Dr. Palwinder Kaur, Isha Chabbra and Deeksha Singh. The meet was graced by chief guest Dr. Savinder Pal and vice principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur who were all given a floral welcome.
All the students participated with great fervour and manifested their athletic skills with an unimpeachable finesse. Dr.Palvinder Kaur, Supriya Lanba and Mr. Kamal enthusiastically conducted the stage and announced the winners. In the sack race Diksha stood first, Simran Kaur stood second and Rishu got third position. In the Skipping race Simran Kaur stood first, Diksha stood second and Saloni got third position. In the 50m race Neha Kumari stood first, Manjot stood second and Simran got third position.
In the relay race Saloni, Manjot, Gurleen and Simran stood first, Anuradha, Maninder, Manmeet and Pooja stood second and Jasmeet, Harman, Diksha and Amanjot got third position. In the lemon and spoon race Pooja stood first, Saloni stood second and Maninder got third position. The tug of war was won by team Diksha Sharma, Diksha, Harman, Jasmeet, Muskan, Taran deep, Muskan, Pallavi, Kavita and Unisha.
In the sports events organised for Staff members Mr. Harvinder got first position, Kamal and Pankaj got second and third position respectively in 50m race. In the gulab jamun race Dr. Palwinder , Ms. Inderpreet and Ms. Reena got first second and third position respectively. In the fast walking race Dr. Priyanka Aeri, Ms. Isha chabbra and Ms. Nidhi were awarded winners. In the events organised for support staff(Male) Putti lal, Sukhbir and Pramod were awarded first, second and third prizes respectively. In the female category Rani Usha and Kulwinder were the awarded winners. The highlight of the event, musical chairs Ms. Jasleen, Ms. Isha chabbra and Ms. Nidhi were awarded the first, second and third position respectively.
