Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organised its 48th convocation on March 16,2024 . Dr. Saroj Arora, Dean College Development Council, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the Chief guest on this occsion. She was warmly welcomed by Mr. Dhiraj Sardana, President, Managing Committee, college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, Mr. Ramesh Jain, Secretary and Mr. Baldev Raj Sharma, Managing Committee Member and the organisers

. The function started with the recital of Vande Matram.The College Annual report was read out by the Principal of College. A total of 200 Graduate and Post Graduate students were awarded degrees. 98 Merit and distinction holders and youth festival winners of the session 2021-22 and 2022-23 were also given the prizes. On this occasion Miss Shivangi received the Best NCC Cadet award and Sharanpreet Kaur and Maninder Kaur received the Best NSS Volunteer award. Sharanpreet Kaur won the ‘Student of the Year’ award and Jagjit Kaur won the ‘Best Reader’ award. The faculty members, Ms Sanjana, Head, Department of Commerce and Ms Sandeep Nandra, Commerce department were honoured for completing 25 years of their excellent service in this institution.

Cultural items were also presented.The chief guest congratulated the students on receiving the degrees and exhorted them to follow three things to attain success in life : to love, believe and be passionate in whatever field they choose. She also gave them a message to adopt positive attitude to attract good things in life. The College Principal presented Vote of Thanks. She also appreciated the efforts of Ruminder Kaur and her entire team for successfully organising this programme and encouraged them to keep positive thinking and keep moving forward in life.
