Five day Workshop cum Training on Machine Knitting was organized by the Department of Fashion Designing of Kamla Nehru College for Women Phagwara. Mr. Harish Chander from Nitra Power Loom Service Centre, Ludhiana conducted the workshop on the occasion.

During the five day event, the students were given practical demonstration of using the machine, which is largely being employed in woolen industry in the state. They were later given a chance to practically try their hands at this technique of machine knitting which is a faster method for preparing woolens and cardigans in comparison to hand knitting.

Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia welcomed Mr. Chander and thanked him for sharing this technique with the students which can help them become self reliant in future. The workshop was attended by all the students and staff members of the department.
