Lecture on ‘Academic Publishing: Ways to increase visibility of your research’ was organized by the Research Committee of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Saturday. Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Asst. Librarian, AC Joshi Library, Panjab University Chandigarh delivered the lecture on the occasion. During his talk, Dr. Singh presented a PPT detailing about the concepts of Scholarly journals, Peer reviewed journals, Refereed publications, distinction between national and internal journals, indexed journals, structure of a research article and tools for measuring research impact. The presentation was followed by an interactive session with faculty members of the college. Earlier, the auditions of ‘Radio Mantra Super Singer’, a singing competition being conducted by radio station Radio Mantra 91.9 FM was organized at college premisesby the Dpartment of Journalism and Mass Communication. RJ Varun from Radio Station visited the college and interacted with the students. He recorded the voices of the singers and said that the winner will get a cash prize of 50,000.Principal of the college, Dr. Kiran Walia welcomed both the guests and congratulated the departments on the events.
