Festive spirit high at KNC
With the festival of Diwali round the corner, the festive spirit painted the ambience at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Wednesday as varied activities were held on the campus to mark the occasion.
Giving the faculty and students a chance to groom themselves, the department of Cosmetology organized a three day Skin Care workshop from October 16 to 18 in which services like Skin and scalp texture analysis, Skin clean up and Scientific Facial massage were held. The workshop received huge response from the college. 18Earlier, the members of Join Hands Club of the college visited the NGO Goonj, Jalandhar and on behalf of the KNC family gave away clothes, sweets, blankets, etc as part of the Joy of Giving week of the NGO. 19 students of the college led by Incharges Ms. Purnima Bhogal and Dr. Pratibha Paliwal visited the NGO.
Also, on Wednesday the Exhibition cum sale was organized by the Department of Fine Arts of the college. At the exhibition the products made by the students of the department including diyas, candles, wind chimes, etc. were displayed. Also, the Central Association (CA) members of the college took a written pledge from the college faculty and students to celebrate a pollution free Diwali. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia gave away message for a happy and safe Diwali to everyone and motivated the students to enjoy a safe and pollution free Diwali.
