To commemorate the occasion of Voters day, under the Sweep Programme of Indian Government, Kamla Nehru College for women, Phagwara organized a Speech Competition on making youth aware about the importance of vote. Fishery officer Mr. Rohit Bansal was the chief guest on this occasion and he discussed the right and power of vote with the students. Students of the college also discussed the contribution of youth during the election and made other students aware about the election system of India. Taranpreet Kaur, Manisha and  Puneet kaur bagged first, second and third positions respectively in this debate. College Principal Dr. Kiran Walia motivated the students to use the right of vote with a right way. Prof. Sandeep Walia, Dr. Rinka, Prof Manwinder Kaur, Prof Rajni, Prof Manisha and other college professors were also present on this occasion.
