Students of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara made the college proud with their sports achievements at Khed – Mela which was organised at block level. The Tug of war team comprising of 10 students- Omika Kausha, Harmeet Kaur, Khushi Rani, Kusam, Muskaan, Gurasis Kaur, Eknoor Kaur, Manmeet Kaur, Inderpreet Kaur and Tania bagged first position. The Kho-Kho team comprising of 12 students – Prabhjot, Jasmine, Pooja, Jyoti Kumari, Anuradha, Roshni, Jyoti, Babita, Neha, Pushpa, Swati, Neha Kumari, Gaganpreet and Deepshikha got second position. In athletics Sukhmanpreet Kaur got first position for Discuss Throw. College Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal lauded all the participants and winners, she deeply appreciated all the efforts put forward by Madam Sunita, Head department of physical education and also encouraged the students to participate more in such physical activities.
