NSS unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated International Women’s Day. An extension lecture was organised on this occasion. Mr. Sandeep Saini, Business head of the North, Head Quarters Chandigarh and Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh, Sales Executive, Jalandhar from BASF India limited were the keynote speakers. They presented their views regarding this special occasion by highlighting some successful women’s stories and also their motive to educate women about various safety measures while using chemicals and expressed the necessity of adopting innovations and raising awareness among masses to eliminate hazards. About 100 Students attended this lecture.
The lecture ended with a formal vote of thanks by Ms Nidhi Jassal NSS Programme officer. The college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal commended the Programme officers, Dr. Lalit kumar and Ms. Nidhi Jassal for organising this lecture.
