PG Department of commerce and NSS unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara organised a seminar on ‘Union Budget 2024-25 on August 8,2024. Ms. Sandeep Nandra and Ms. Nidhi Jassal, Assistant Professor in Commerce, took the lead in enlightening the students about the Vision of Union Budget 2024-2025. She also provided an in-depth analysis of the budget’s objectives, historical context, and the newly introduced tax regime. PPT regarding union budget was shown to the students by MCom students, Mandeep Kaur and Jaskaran Kaur. In addition to the informative session, an online quiz on  Union Budget was conducted, fostering an interactive learning environment and encouraging active participation among the students.College Vice Principal, Dr. Ruminder Kaur and other faculty members of Commerce department were also present. More than 100 students attented this programme.

The college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal lauded the efforts of Ms. Sanjana Walia, Head, Department of Commerce, faculty members of the department and NSS Unit programme officer for organising this educative session to keep the students abreast of knowledge.
