Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of Kamla Nehru College for
Women, the Department of Science organized a workshop in Mathematics. Held on Sep. 07,
2024, the workshop focused on an interesting topic of ‘Applications of Mathematics using
Computational Techniques.’
Dr. Gagandeep, Associate Professor and Head in Mathematics at Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya, graced the event as the resource person. She explained various commands to solve
the mathematics problems using SCILAB and imparted practical knowledge to students. Her
insightful discourse enriched the knowledge of the around 50 students who participated in the
workshop . Dr. Gagandeep delved into various aspects of Computational techniques and its
uses in real life providing valuable insights and fostering a deeper understanding among the
attendees. Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of college congratulated both the students and faculty members of the Science Department for their efforts in organizing such an enlightening event and motivated
students to remain positive and compassionate while solving problems whether in mathematics
or in life.
