Under the able guidance of college Principal Dr. SavinderPal,Sh Bhag Ram Handa library committee celebrated November 2024 as  Book Donation Month. Kamla Nehru College launched its highly anticipated Book Donation Month campaign, inviting students, faculty, and staff to contribute to the expansion of the college’s library resources. The initiative aimed to foster a culture of literacy, sharing, and community support while enriching the library’s collection to benefit both current and future generations of learners. The month-long celebration witnessed  enthusiasm, creativity, and an overwhelming response from the entire college community. Students and teachers generously donated books from various disciplines like Education ,Sikh History,Banking,Punjabi literature,Sikh faith,Political empowerment and of English literature etc. The donated books were thoughtfully displayed in a  Donation Box set up at the entrance of the library. This special display allowed students, faculty, and staff to easily view and contribute their books throughout the month.  It became a focal point for the entire campus, with donations continually being added, and offered a tangible representation of the college community’s generosity and commitments to support education. Madam Principal shared heartfelt words about the significance of book donation. She emphasized the importance  of cultivating a love for reading. She also explained how donated books enrich the literary resources of the library and contributes to the intellectual growth of the readers.She also appreciated the efforts of library committee for making this event a success.
