Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated its annual sports meet with huge pomp and show on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at college stadium. Principal of the college, Dr. Kiran Walia was the chief guest of the day and declared the meet open. She was given a floral welcome by the organizers Dr. Madhu Kataria, Mr. Kuldip Kumar Sharma, Mr. Naval Dogra and Mr. Harvinder Chauhan.

The event began with a demonstration by the students on Taekwondo. The day saw students and staff of the institute participate enthusiastically in various events held during the meet. The results of the events are: Fast Walk-Pallavi Sharma; Skipping-Satinder; 50 mtr race-Simran Kaur; Relay Race-Gurpreet, Kirandeep, Gurinder, Alamjeet; Shuttle Run-Gurpreet; Skipping on the spot-Pooja; Sac Race- Alamjeet; Tug of War- Gurminder, Alamjeet, Kirandeep, Gurpreet, Jasmine, Nancy, Dupinder, Priya, Amandeep, Simran, Nitish; Three leg race-Satinder and Pallavi

Gurpreet Kaur was declared the Best Athlete while Satinder Kaur was declared the second best athlete, while Smriti Kanda was given a special award for her participation at National Level Taekwondo Competition in Junior Category. Principal Dr. Kiran Walia gave away medals to the winners and congratulated them on the occasion.
