According to the guidelines of UGC and  Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal , Anti-Ragging Week was celebrated at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara from 12th August to 18th August 2024, by incorporating various activities aimed to fosters a respectful and secure campus environment. On August 12,2024, Anti- ragging committee organised a lecture which was delivered by Jaskaran Kaur,student of M.com sem3. She made students aware about the forms and punishments of ragging.Also, A Power Point Presentation was shown to students regarding this.On August 13,A poster making activity was organised in which students from various departments were participated.A special assembly was organised on August 14 in which around 700 students were participated. During this, they were shown Short documentary films and some TVC related to this subject. On August 16, Anti-ragging cell was formed in which students of all departments involved including Central Association of College.On August 17, Flex regarding Anti-ragging cell was pasted on walls of premises with help of students of Anti ragging cell to make all students aware about helpline numbers. On August 23,concluding session was organised in which the students took an oath that they will not be involved in ragging in any direct or indirect form and will do their part to remove this evil from the society. On this occasion the Principal Dr. Savinder Pal addressed students that Ragging is a serious offense which could not be tolerant in any form and strict actions will be taken against anyone found engaging in such activities. Also, She encouraged all students to stand against ragging as well as support their juniors in creating a positive campus environment. The Nodal Officers  of the anti-ragging committee including Ms Reema Madan Joshi ,Ms Satveer Kaur and all the Faculty members of the college were also present on this occasion.
