Celebration of National Girl Child Day at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara
Under the able guidance of College Principal, Dr Savinder Pal, NSS Unit and EBSB of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated National Girl Child Day on 24th January, 2023 to raise awareness about girl child health.On this occasion, a PPT on the theme ‘Nutrition and Women Health’ was shown to the students. Through this presentation,the students were told about the importance of a balanced diet. They were also enlightened about the common women’s health issues along with the signs and
symptoms of poor women’s health. A Poster making and Slogan writing competition was also organized .
Around 400 students of the college attended this event. College Principal, Dr Savinder Pal appreciated
the efforts put in by the NSS Programme Officers Dr Lalit Kumar and Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr Priyanka
Aeri , incharge EBSB. She also motivated them to organize more such events in the future also.
