Extension lecture on “Cyber  crime” by NSS unit, IQAC and IT Cell was organised under the patronage of Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal  Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara. Ms. Hardeep Kaur, Assistant Professor of Computer Science was the Resource Person. Dr. Priyanka Aeri, NSS Programme Officer formally welcomed the speaker with the green planter and discussed the purpose of this lecture. About 50 students attended the lecture. Madam Hardeep Kaur described in detail about  Cyber Crime. During the lecture, the participants were made aware about various types of cyber and internet crimes prevalent in the era of information warfare and measures to prevent cyber crimes like hacking, ransom ware, espionage, financial theft, phishing activities and other internet related crimes. Madam Principal congratulated the organizer Dr. Priyanka Aeri for organizing such an inspiring lecture and she encouraged the students to incorporate the suggestions given by the speaker.
