Kamla Nehru Junior College for Women, Phagwara organised a grand farewell party in the college
auditorium to bid adieu to the outgoing class. The chief guest, Dr. Savinder Pal was accorded floral
felicitation by the College Vice Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur, Coordinator Ms. Neeti, Dr. Rinka from
Political Department, Ms Nidhi Jassal, Ms. Pinky.
On the occasion colorful programmes like dances and songs were displayed by +1 students which were
appreciated by the whole audience with thundering applause.To add fun to the function, games were
organized by the juniors for their seniors
Modeling was the main attraction of the day which was judged by Dr. Priyanka Aeri from Home Science
department and Madam Priyanka Mankhand from Science department who shortlisted candidates for
the question answer round and then the final judgment for the coveted titles of the year were
announced. The title of Miss Elegant was bagged by Simran. Harnoor won the title of Miss Confident where as Gurvinder and Komal was adjudged as 1st and 2nd runner up. Anterleen was awarded Miss KNJCW. Harnoor of class 12 expressed her love and feelings towards college and teachers through her speech. On this occasion Principal of institution, Dr. Savinder Pal wished best of luck and bid farewell to the outgoing students and motivated them by saying anything can be achieved by sincere hard work and
dedication. The function concluded with bhangra performance and emotional song by Mannat of class 11. At last special lunch was arranged by the College for the students and staff member.
