Farewell Party held at KNCW
A colourful and vibrant farewell party was organized for the final year students various Post Graduate and Under Graduate classes of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Saturday at College Auditorium.Principal of the college Dr.Kiran Walia was the chief guest at the function while Ms. Jyoti Sehdev, a leading businesswoman and social worker of the city and Ms.Sapna Mankhand, a leading social worker from the city were the judges of the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the judges motivated the outgoing students to understand the importance of life and the power of being a woman. They also motivated the girls to make substantial contributions in the development of the country.While blessing the outgoing students, Principal Dr. Kiran Walia urged them to scale heights in their careers while maintaining contact with their alma mater. She further motivated them to achieve every desire while remaining responsible citizens of the country.
During the function, various rounds of modeling including Indo Western round,Suits and Saree rounds were organized for the final year students of PG and UG classes. The shortlisted candidates then appeared in question answer round in which judges asked them various questions. The students of the college also presented various cultural items which were highly enjoyed by the audiences.The entire event was organized by PG Departments of Political science of the college.
