A grand Green Diwali carnival was organized by the Departments of Fashion Designing, Home Science,
Fine Arts, Science and Computer Science department of Kamla Nehru College for Women Phagwara
under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal.
On this occasion, Mrs. Nidhi Sardana, eminent Fashion Designer presided as the Chief Guest. The stalls
put up by the students exhibit everything that was unique, trendy and creative. Mrs. Nidhi Sardana
appreciated the efforts of all budding entrepreneurs in bringing innovative products in this Carnival. She
motivated the students of the college to exploit this opportunity by selling and promoting their hand
made products. She added, everything here is commendable and being herself the admirer of art, she
feels delighted being here today.
In the Diwali carnival, students displayed artistic Diyas, chocolates, Diwali platters, blue tea, multi grain
atta, candles, bakery items, knotted bottles, beauty products, Idli and Behlpoori food stall etc.
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal applauded the efforts of all budding entrepreneurs for active participation in
Divali Carnival. Brisk sale of all items boosted the confidence of young entrepreneurs. Budding
entrepreneurs felt enthusiastic to get this platform for selling and marketing their hand made products.
About 500 students and staff joined and enjoyed this Green Diwali Carnival.
