Harmony day celebrated in KNC
To commemorate the birth anniversary of our former Prime Minister Sh. Rajiv Gandhi, Political science department of Kamla Nehru College for Women, celebrated Harmony day on Friday. Students from various departments performed activities including tree plantation, essay writing competition and rangoli competition.During the celebrations, various activities like choreography, nukkad natak, poems and speeches were performed based on the rich history of our country and reminding us of our socialists and freedom fighters, in order to the national integration, peace , love and communal harmony.Principal of the College Dr. Kiran Walia was the chief guest at the function. Speaking on the occasion, she gave the message of communal harmony and patriotism to the students and congratulated the winners.On this occasion Department of Home Science held Rangoli Competition where Kirandeep Kaur (MSc. Fashion Design 3rd semester) bagged first prize, Anita (Bsc Fashion Design 3rd semester) and Gurvinder (B. Voc fashion design 3rd semester) got second, and Sonia (B. Voc fashion design 3rd semester) and Ramandeep (M Com. 3rd semester) got third.
