The festival of Janamashtmi was celebrated with fervor by the department of Political Science of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Wednesday. Principal Dr. Kiran Walia was the Chief guest of this event students form various departments of the college performed various items like Dance, Bhajan etc to celebrate the occasion. Head of the Department Prof. Chanderrekha Sandhir also sang a Bhajan to mark the day. The winners of various competitions which were held as part of environment week celebrations by the department were also given prizes at the function. Principal Dr.Kiran Walia extended wishes to everybody on the festival and congratulated the prize winners. Teachers from various departments including Dr. Sudhmani, Mrs. Jyoti, Mrs.Amanlata and Anuradha were presented in this occasion.
