Under the able guidance of College Principal Dr. SavinderPal,the college library committee of Kamla
Nehru College for Women,Phagwara celebrated NATIONAL BOOK MONTH from 1st Oct 2023 to 31st
October 2023.To mark the celebrations,various activities like Book Review Competition, Honoring the
LIBRARY STAR OF THE MONTH (staff/student) were held.A Book fair was also organized in which
variety of books were displayed to explore and immerse onself in world of literature. About 150
students participated in this event. PPT regarding the importance of books in our life was also
presented . Dr. SavinderPal college Principal guided the students about the hazardous effects of excess
mobile usage and emphasised on reading books by saying that books are our loyal friends as they
improve our knowledge and wisdom,which helps us in taking right decision in life.She also lauded the
efforts of library committee members for organising this event and making it a success.
