KNCW celebrated World Water Day
Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Savinder Pal, the college principal, the Science Department of Kamla Nehru College for Women, in collaboration with the Eco Club, NSS, Green Squad, and Prof. Puran
Singh Society, fervently celebrated World Water Day on April 1, 2024.
The event witnessed an informative and engaging PowerPoint presentation delivered by Amandeep Kaur (B.sc Medical Sem- 6), elucidating the critical aspects of water conservation, the global water crisis,
and the indispensable role of water in our lives. Students and teachers alike pledged their commitment to conserving water, underscoring the importance of collective action in safeguarding this precious
resource. Approximately 100 enthusiastic students actively participated in the event, showcasing their dedication to environmental stewardship. Dr. Priyanka Aeri and Dr. Lalit Kumar, esteemed members of the
academic community, graced the occasion, enriching the discourse with their invaluable insights. Dr. Savinder Pal, in her address, underscored the significance of water conservation, citing the example
of Maldives’ innovative utilization of rainwater in daily life. She commended the Science Department for their initiative and lauded the students for their proactive involvement. Encouraging continued
participation in such endeavors, she emphasized the pivotal role of youth in shaping a sustainable future.The event served as a poignant reminder of the pressing need to safeguard our planet’s most precious resource and inspired a renewed commitment to environmental consciousness among the college community
