The students and staff of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated ‘International Yoga day’ at local Lord Mahavir Jain Model School on Tuesday morning. The students of NCC wings of the college led by their in-charges Prof.Jaideep Inder Kaur, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Prof. Rajni, Prof. Ritika Singla and Mr.Sanjay Rai participated in the event.Col. Davinder pal Singh Chahal of 8PBN Battalion, Phagwara was the chief guest at the event. Speaking on the occasion, Col. Chahal encouraged the students to make yoga an integral part of their lives so that they could lead their life in a stress-free manner.Principal of Lord Mahavir Jain Model School Mr. Nirkesh Sharma conducted the entire event. College Principal Dr. Kiran Walia talked about the importance and benefits of Yoga and congratulated the participating students.The students of various schools and colleges of Phagwara participated in the event.
