Under the able guidance of College Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal and Vice Principal, Dr. Ruminder Kaur, Career Orientation Council and IQAC of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organised a ‘Placement fair’ on 7th December, 2024. Mr. Johny Sharma, Assistant Branch Manager, LIC, Jalandhar, was the keynote speaker in this event along with 2 development officers. In this very interactive session, an extensive guidance was provided to students regarding field and ground jobs. He discussed various job roles along with their stipend and target policies per month. He also expounded the benefits and facilities of Bima Sakhi Yojna initiative of PM Modi.  Around 100 students from various streams participated in this fair. Dr. Ruminder Kaur, College Vice Principal, expressed her gratitude to the resource persons commending their insightful contribution and encouraged the organisers Ms. Sanjna Walia, Ms. Geeta Sharma, Ms. Priyanka Mankhand, Ms. Jagjit Kaur and Ms. Tunish to continue organising similar activities in future.
