Kamla Nehru College for women, Phagwara has been ceaselessly endeavoring to impart quality based education to its students along with extra lectures from experts. Keeping in mind the safety of women KNCW organized Special lecture on “Women Protection”. ASI of Sanjh Kendra Sr. Gagandeep Singh was the Chief speaker of this lecture. He acquainted the students with three apps “Shakti app”, “Know your Police app”, and “P.P. Sanjh app” made by police for the protection of women. He said that today harassment and molestation of women are the common news in the newspapers so these kinds of apps are the need of the hour. Another speaker Sr. Surinder Singh, ASI of traffic police, appealed to all the students to follow the traffic rules. This event was organized by Women Cell of College. College Principal Dr. Kiran Walia appreciated the efforts of police department for bringing these apps in the society and she congratulated Sr. Surinder singh and Sr. Gagandeep Singh for making our students aware about these apps. Madam Principal also acknowledged the head of the Women Cell Dr. Anita Gogna and Madam Kamlesh for organizing these kinds of events in the college premises for the safety of women.
