Giving the students a practical exposure in the field of media, a visit to Radio Station 92.7 BIG FM Jalandhar and Ajit newspaper office Jalandhar was organized for the students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) of Kamla Nehru College for Women Phagwara.The students pursuing BAJMC and Journalism as a subject in BA visited the both the organizations. At Ajit, the students got a chance to visit various departments of the office. A documentary projecting the history of the newspaper was screened for the students and they also got to see the library and the museum of the organization. At the studio of the BIG FM, Programming Head of the station Ms. Prabhjot Kaur welcomed the students and detailed about the various shows being aired by them, the working of the station and advised the students about how to make a career in radio. Radio Jockey Mannat showed the studios and also talked about the qualities need to become an RJ and also informed the students about how they design the content on the shows.

Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia thanked the entire staff of the radio station for sharing their experiences with the students. Prof. Archna Walia and Prof. Navneet Pal Kaur from the department of JMC accompanied the students during the visit.
