5-day skill development workshop which was organised from 25-7-2022 to 29-7-2022 by Kamla Nehru Junior College for Women, Phagwara successfully harnessed the enthusiasm of the students. Students got valuable learning experience during the workshop. Ms. Monika from Fashion Designing department talked in length about the procedure of Block painting. The interactive talk was followed by practical demonstration of block painting. Dr. Sudhamani Sood from Fine Arts department taught the students various artistic skills namely sketching of landscape, flowers, leaves and colouring with water  and dry pastel colours. Ms. Isha from English department imparted knowledge to the students regarding how to give impressive introduction. Language games were conducted which included correction of sentences. Various indoor and outdoor games were organised by Ms. Sunita, department of Physical Education including Badminton, Carom board and kho kho along with some recreational activities. Ms. Hardeep, department of Computer sensitize the students about the basics of computer on the topics Ms Word and Powerpoint. Ms Anita, department of Psychology talked about Time management and Stress management and activities related to these topics were also conducted. More than 80 students  attended the workshop.The students gave a very positive response for the workshop. Dr. Savinder Pal, College Principal, lauded the efforts of workshop incharges and motivated them to conduct such learning programme which will further help to gain confidence in times when acquired skills pave way for many opportunities.
