A lecture on ‘Anemia-Prevention and Management’ was organized at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Monday. The lecture was organized by the Department of Home Science, and Nutrition and Dietetics of the college.Dr. Kiran Grover from the Department of Food and Nutrition, College of Home Science, Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana delivered the lecture. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Grover detailed about the causes of anemia and gave tips about its prevention. She said that this problem is commonly found in pregnant ladies and children and added that basic changes in our everyday diet can help prevent this problem. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia welcomed Dr. Grover and congratulated HOD Mrs. Upinder Kaur on the successful organization of the lecture. The entire staff and students of college were present on the occasion.
