Under the able guidance of College Principal, Dr Savinder Pal,NSS Unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara in collaboration with SVEEP organised a Voter Awareness Campaign on 19th April, 2024 . This campaign was organised for the awareness of students and faculty members of the college about their voting rights. During this campaign, a short movie ‘My Vote, My Duty’ creating awareness was shown to the students and faculty members . An ECI song ‘Mai Bharat Hoon’ was also played . A pledge was also taken during this campaign in the presence of Vice Principal, Dr Ruminder kaur.Through the medium of movie, song and pledge , the students and faculty members were provided information about how to cast their votes and how to justly utilize one’s voting rights. They were also instructed about how they can be a part of nation’s development and growth by selecting the right candidate who would contribute towards the better future of the nation. Around 80 students along with faculty members became a part of this campaign. Madam Principal appreciated the efforts put in by NSS Programme Officers, Dr Lalit Kumar and Ms Nidhi Jassal and motivated them to organise more such informative sessions in the future also.
