Under the able guidance of college Principal Dr Savinder Pal,the NSS Unit of Kamla Nehru
College for Women, Phagwara, organized My Bharat Outreach Program on 06 November 2024.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness about various national initiatives and inspire youth involvement in nation-building. Ms. Nidhi Jassal, the NSS Programme Officer, presented an informative PowerPoint presentation that highlighted the goals, strategies, and significance of government outreach
programs. Ms. Nidhi Jassal’s presentation engaged the volunteers, emphasizing their critical role
in contributing to community welfare and national development. She touched upon various
aspects of the topic ‘Empowering India’s Youth for a Viksit Bharat’. She also enlightened the
students about the purpose of joining the My Bharat initiative and gave information about the
benefits of this initiative and the forward plan of my bharat platform youth. Around 60
volunteers actively attended this informative session.
College Principal, Dr Savinder Pal encouraged the volunteers to spread awareness about this
program and also appreciated the joint efforts of Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit kumar, NSS
Programme officer
