The NSS unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, successfully organized The event focused on registering first-year students into NSS through the portal, aiming to enhance their participation in the various national service activities. Ms. Nidhi Jassal, Program Officer of the NSS, guided the students through the entire registration process on the My Bharat Portal via a PowerPoint presentation. She explained the step-by-step procedure for registration and provided insights into how the platform benefits students by connecting them to a range of service opportunities and resources. She further enlightened the volunteers on the significance of the My Bharat Portal, emphasizing how it can contribute to their personal and professional growth by providing access to various programs and events that align with national development goals. College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated the efforts of Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar, Programme Officers, in ensuring a smooth registration process and raising awareness among students about the portal’s long-term benefits. The camp was a step towards empowering students and enabling them to make meaningful contributions to society through their involvement in NSS activities. Around 80 students became a part of this process.
