NSS Unit and Women Cell of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, organized the rally in response to the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata. About 100 students participated, along with the college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal; Ms. Reema Madan, Women Cell In-charge; and Ms. Nidhi Jassal, Programme Officer of NSS. The students held posters and raised slogans demanding justice. It is imperative to raise our voices and stand against the alarming increase in heinous crimes against women. A change must come in the mindset of society; sons should be taught to respect girls and women.
