Rangoli and Poster making competitions were organised by dept. of Fine Arts and the NSS of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara under the supervision of SDM Phagwara Madam Major Dr.Sumit Mudh and Nodal officer Dr.Kiran Walia, Principal KNCW. The main theme of the competition was ‘Importance of casting vote’. Various students participated in this competition with full vigour and enthusiasm. In poster making competition, Amandeep kaur of B.A sem iii bagged first position, Disha of 10+1 Arts stood second and Harshita of  B.A sem iii stood third. In Rangoli competition, Rajvir kaur of 10+2 bagged first, Disha of 10+1 bagged second and Rajvir kaur of 10+1 bagged third position. Dr.Kiran Walia, the Principal told the students regarding importance of casting vote and also told them to become vigilant citizens. She also suggested them to spread awareness regarding this fundamental right. She distributed certificates to the winners and also congratulated the other participants. On this occasion  the members of NSS Dr.Gurpreet kaur, Ms.Palwinder kaur Randhawa, Ms.Sudhamini Sood and Ms.Jatinder kaur were also present.
