Department of History and NSS unit of Kamla Nehru college for women, Phagwara Celebrated 73rd  Republic Day of the country.

Under the Guidance of Principal Madam Dr.Savinder Pal , Department of History and NSS  Wing of Kamla Nehru college for women, Phagwara organised a Webinar on the topic “Role of Sarala Devi chaudhurani in Indian Freedom struggle”. College Principal Dr Savinder Pal, was the Resource Person. Ms kamlesh Head,Department of History welcomed the Honourable Principal Dr Savinder Pal, Dr Priyanka Aeri and Ms Nidhi Jassal Programme Officer and the virtual participats. During her Lecture she explained how the freedom was achieved after a long struggle against the British colonisers. Indian history is full with the great contributions of freedom fighters and Sarala Devi Chaudhaurani is one among them .Sarala Devi was an active participant throughout the national struggle. She was an ardent supporter of women emancipation.She was a great writer too. She encouraged the Indian women to be bold and strong enough to handle the situations.

About 70 students attended this online webinar. Students participated Enthusiastically in Slogan writing and Poster Making on the Theme ‘ Republic Day’. Ms Nidhi Jassal Programme Officer Presented the Vote of thanks to the Resource Person for sparing her Precious time and sharing her valuable views . Ms Kamlesh , Dr Priyanka Aeri and Ms Nidhi Jassal Programme Officer thanked the College Principal and the  Management.
