Under the able guidance of Honorable College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, the NSS Unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated  78th Independence Day from 09-08-2024 to 15-08-2024 under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign initiated by Indian Government. Many activities were organized on this occasion, including Poster Making, Rangoli Making, Patriotic songs in which the students showed their patriotic fervor. Online oath was also taken by the students. They were also given E-certificate. A rally was taken out under the Har Ghar Tricolor campaign. Students also took a selfie with the tricolor. The College Principal along with the staff members, NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem and sweets were also distributed among the volunteers. While addressing students, College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal said that the main objective of this campaign is to enhance connection with the Tricolor and show our commitment towards nation building. Further, she also appreciated the joint efforts of Program Officer Madam Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar, and highlighted that such activities promote a sense of responsibility as citizens of India
