Science department, in collaboration with NSS unit & Red Ribbion club of Kamla Nehru College for women, Phagwara organised a rally and potted plant competition on the occasion of World Ozone day and Swachh Amrit Mahotsav. The main aim of this programme was to bring awareness among students to prevent the depletion of ozone layer as well as to mobilize the vision of building garbage free cities.  Around 50 students participated in this competition. Dr. Savinder Pal, the college Principal, appreciated the efforts put in by the students and gave trophies to prize winners. Sanjana ,Gursimran,Jyoti of B.Sc Non Med ( sem 5 ),B.Sc Med ( sem 3) ,B.Sc Med ( sem 5) respectively got first,second and third prizes. Along with that, Deeksha and Jaideep Kaur won consolation prizes as well Gaganpreet, Isha, Avneet, Sukirti, Kajal and Komal won appreciation prizes.Dr. Savinder Pal, the college Principal, encouraged the incharges of the programme to conduct such events in the future also.
