Giving the students a practical exposure in the field of media, a visit to Radio Station 92.7 BIG FM Jalandhar was organized for the students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) of Kamla Nehru College for Women Phagwara. The students pursuing B. Voc in JMC and BA in JMC visited the studio of the radio station and interacted with the staff. Programming Head of the station Mr.Prajanay Sufi Ahuja welcomed the students and detailed about the various shows being aired by them, the working of the station and advised the students about how to make a career in radio. Radio Jockeys Mannat, Sandy and Veer talked about the qualities need to become an RJ, their shows and also informed the students about how they design the content on the shows. Later, RJ Sandy also recorded a show with the students. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia thanked the entire staff of the radio station for sharing their experiences with the students. Prof. Archna Walia and Prof. Navneet Pal Kaur from the department of JMC accompanied the students during the visit.
