A Talent Hunt Competition was organised on 18 September 2021 at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara by Youth Welfare Club under the guidance of Ms. Reema Madan Joshi, Dr. Nimrat Deep Kaur and Dr. Rinka to search and boost the exceptional talent of students who are willing to participate in Guru Nanak Dev University’s upcoming zonal youth festival.Students showcased their talent in a number of events ranging from music, dances (classical dance,bhangra, giddha) to dramatics.

College principal, Dr. Savinder Pal announced the dates for the Zonal Youth Festival and encouraged the students to unravel their creative talents. She motivated the students to participate in such events and congratulated the selected students for their bright future. The principal also guided the students to follow the Covid-19 protocals so that such competitions can be conducted more often.

In the singing competition Anjuman, Kusum, Simran got the first prize, Ramandeep, Shruti, Gagandeep, got the second prize and the third prize was awarded to Shrishti, Neha, and Isha.In the group dance category, Harman Jaswal and group got first position, Jasmeet and group got second position and the third position was awarded to Ramandeep and group. In the solo dance category, Sharanpreet kaur, Simran, Jaskaran got first, second and third position respectively. Best dancer award was given to Harshpreet Kaur and best classical dancer award was given to Mamansa.The competition ended on a cheerful note with a formal vote of thanks from Meghna and Kiran.
