Talk on Cancer Care held at KNCW
A special lecture on ‘Cancer Care’ was organized at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Saturday. Mr. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Global Ambassador, World Cancer Care Charitable Society and Save a life, UK was the resource person at the occasion. With the mission of eradicating cancer, he has served more than 107 countries across the globe for the awareness and eradication of cancer. While presenting his views, he gave a detailed talk on the current scenario of Cancer in India and stressed on the need for prevention and early detection to cure this problem. He emphasized that Punjab is becoming the world cancer capital since people here lack awareness about this disease and added that his organization is organizing camps across villages in Punjab where free tests and medicines are provided to the patients. While talking about the importance of leading a healthy and simple life, he also talked about the need to change our mindset towards girl child and raise their voice to provide equal rights for in the society.
