The occasion of Teachers Day was celebrated with great zeal at Kamla Nehru College for women, Phagwara on Wednesday. The celebrations were organized by the members of central Association of the college. During the celebrations, music department of the college entertained students with many songs, lokgeets and dohas related to teachers. Students of other departments gave various performances highlighting the teacher-student relationship. College Principal Dr. Kiran Walia was the chief guest at the celebration. Speaking on the occasion, she talked about the importance of teachers in our lives and motivated the students to show love and respect for their teachers. She also distributed certificates to the various students participated in Rangoli, declamation and many more activities.

Mr. Anadi Mishra, a renowned singer, was invited on this special occasion. He sang various hindi and Punjabi songs and mesmerized the students with his melody voice.
