To commemorate the occasion of World Student’s Day, a slogan writing competition was organized by the Central Association (CA) members of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara on Monday. The theme of the slogans was related to education and student’s life. Students from various department of the college participated in the event. On the occasion, Nancy of B. Sc 3 semester stood first, Pallavi Sharma of MA Hindi first semester stood second, Aanchal of B. Sc first sem,ester stood third while Prabhnoor Kaur of BBA fifth semester secured consolation prize.   With Diwali round the corner, an exhibition cum sale of Jelly Candles and Chocolates was put up by the Department of Home Science, Fashion Designing and Nutrition and Dietetics at their department on Monday. At the event, the candles and chocolates prepared by the students of the department were put up on sale. The students and staff of the college attended the event. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia congratulated the winners and the teachers in charge of both the events.
