NSS and NCC wing of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated World Environment Day
NSS and NCC wing of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June, 2021 by planting trees at various places with the aim of spreading awareness about the threat to the environment especially during the present pandemic. The students also spead awareness regarding planting more trees and taking care of them. Apart from this E- Competition of poster making, Collage making and Slogan writing were also organised by the Department of Fine Arts, NCC and NSS. Many students participated in it with great zeal and full enthusiasm. Among the winners were Muskaan Kanojia, KNCW, Phagwara, Rajinder Rani of Vidiya Rattan College for Women, Khokar Kalan who got first position. Second position was shared by to Harleen Kaur, KNCW Phagwara, Shifali Sonik from IGNOU and Saranarayan Rathi, GHCL, Gujrat. Third position was bagged by Harshpreet Kaur Sagoo and Pooja from KNCW, Phagwara. Consolation prizes were given to Ananya of Doaba Public School Parowal, Gsr and Tania Kaur of KNCW, Phagwara. Principal Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated all the winners and motivated the students for planting more trees.
