Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organised its Annual Fete 2023 in the college campus with great pomp and show. The event was given a go- ahead by the chief guest, Dr. Savinder Pal, college principal, Mr. Ramesh Jain, joint secretary and Mr. Baldev Raj Sharma, Member of Managing Committee member by ceremonially cutting ribbon and unleashing balloons into the air representing the theme ‘Women Empowerment’ of the event
Students were decked up in elegant and attractive attires.
Various eatable stalls which included Gol Gappa, noodles, bhatura channa, pav bhaji, burger, manchurian, tikki, and ice-cream were set up for the gathering. Game stalls were the standout feature of the fete where students enjoyed playing games and won prizes. Students were thrilled to take rides. A total 500 including students and staff members attented the fete. The guest of honour, Ms Meenu Gupta, principal, Government School and chief guests Mr Kuljeet Singh, Govt. Sen. Sec. School Chak Prema, Mr Raman Sharma, Reporter, Mr Sanjeev Washwa, Laxmi enterprises & Paint, Vikram Mankhand, Veena Enterprises,and Mr Deepak, Deepak Handloom, Phagwara graced the occasion with their presence. The whole ambience of the event was reverberated with music and students were seen grooving on the dance floor with their friends.
Students also gave dance performances. The fete was concluded with lucky draw and names of the winners were announced in which prices including LED Tv, Blanket, Dinner Set, geyser, and buffer went to kusam, B.A sem 4 student, Parveen, Bcom sem 2, Harnoor, +1 commerce, Pushpa, B.A sem 6 student, Saloni BCA sem 2, and Kavya, Bcom sem 6 student respectively. Mr. Kulwant Singh Channa, college photographer was honoured for his 30 years service to the college. At last, college principal, Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated the lucky draw winners and the organisers for a grand success of the event.
