The Science Department, in collaboration with NSS Unit and ECO Club celebrated “World Ozone Day” held on 16. 09.24 and organised a Rally,
Planting for Sustainability, Home for Aves and Poster making competition. The main theme of this programme was “Ozone for Life” and awareness among the students about the depletion of Ozone Layer and find possible solutions to
preserve it. Around 100 students participated in this competition. Dr. Savinder Pal, the College Principal and Dr. Ruminder Kaur, the Vice-Principal appreciated the efforts put in by the students and gave medals to prize winners.Tanya, Vinny and Rattan jot got first, second and third prizes respectively for “Home for Aves Competition”.For poster competition, Ist position held by Vinny and Manraj,
2nd position bagged by Neha and Loveleen, 3rd position got by Nisha and Kashish as well as Dapinder Kaur and Diksha won consolation prizes. For
“Planting for Sustainability” competition, Ist postion won by Sukirti and Diljinder Kaur, 2nd prize got by Vinny and Deepshika, 3rd position bagged by Muskan
and Simran as well as consolation prizes distributed to Komal , Amanpreet and Mannat.
Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of College congratulated both the students and faculty members of the Science Department for their efforts in organizing such
an enlightening event and motivated students to engage in such activities
