Under the able guidance of the college Principal, Dr. Savinder Kaur, NSS Unit of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, celebrated NSS Foundation Day with great enthusiasm on September 24, 2024. The event was  aimed at fostering awareness about the National Service Scheme (NSS) among students. The college Principal, Dr. Ruminder Kaur ,Vice-Principal and Ms. Aman Lata graced the occasion with their presence. A series of engaging activities were conducted, including PPT presentation, poem recitation, NSS song and competitions. Nukkad Natak which brought to light the spirit of ‘ Not me but You’ was performed by the volunteers. About 300 students attended this event. Dr. Lalit emphasised the role of NSS in bringing about the positive change in the society by the selfless service for the betterment. Ms. Nidhi Jassal, NSS Programme Officer  enlightened the students about the significance of the NSS and its role in shaping students into responsible citizens. She concluded the event with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the students, faculty members for their active participation. Dr. Savinder pal gave blessings to the students and appreciated the selfless efforts of programme officers , Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar and NSS volunteers in community development service.
