Environmental Sciences Book Unveiled at KNCW

The Science Department of Kamla Nehru College for Women proudly released the Environmental
Sciences book of the 2023-24 academic session during a special event on campus. Authored by Mr.
Rajeev Kumar (Assistant Professor, Botany) and Ms. Priyanka Mankhand (Head, Department of
Sciences), the book is a comprehensive resource aimed at fostering environmental awareness and
education. The launch event was graced by the contributors of the chapters, including Ms. Pinky (Assistant Professor, Chemistry) and Ms. Tunish Kaur (Assistant Professor, Zoology), whose expertise added
valuable depth to the publication. Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of Kamla Nehru College for Women, unveiled the book and commended the contributors for their dedication and collaborative efforts. “This book is a testament to the hard work and scholarly excellence of our faculty. It will undoubtedly inspire our students to think critically about pressing environmental issues,” she remarked.
Vice Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur echoed the Principal’s sentiments, applauding the Science
Department for its initiative. “Such endeavors highlight the strength of teamwork and the importance of interdisciplinary contributions in addressing real-world challenges,” she added.
The book launch was a moment of pride for the college, with faculty and students celebrating the
achievement. The Environmental Sciences book is not only a teaching tool but also a step forward in
promoting sustainable thinking among young mind
