Under the able guidance of college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, NSS Unit of kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated ‘National Unity Day’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the iron man of India. Participants engaged in various activities including Poster and Slogan Making competition aimed at fostering a spirit of unity and integrity among students. About 60 students participated in this competition. The college Principal enlightened the students about the importance of celebrating this day. She added , Sardar Patel’s indomitable spirit and his unwavering commitment to the nation and his efforts in uniting diverse states into a single nation serve as a guiding light for everyone.She also lauded the efforts of programme officers, Ms Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar for celebrating this day.
