Closing day of NSS Camp
The seventh day, i.e., 18th December, 2024, was the closing ceremony of the 7-day NSS special camp organised by Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara. The event was celebrated with fervour and zeal. The chief guest of the occasion, College Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, was accorded floral felicitation by Vice-Principal, Dr. Ruminder Kaur and the programme officers, Ms. Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar. The programme commenced with a Shabad to seek blessings from the Almighty. PPT related to all activities that were performed during the 7-day camp was shown. A cultural extravaganza was also organised, which included poem recitation, solo song, solo dance, and group dance. NSS volunteers Jaskaran, Mandeep Kaur, Arshpreet Kaur, Saloni, Himanshi Sharma, Parveen, Navneet, Krishma, Jaspreet, and Bindu were given the best volunteer award, whereas all the NSS volunteers who were a part of this camp were given appreciation awards and certificates. Volunteers also gave overwhelming feedback by sharing their experiences and memories made during this camp.Ms. Nidhi Jassal, NSS programme officer, motivated the students to work hard in the future as it gives a sense of achievement, fulfilment, and self-satisfaction. She also appreciated the efforts of the volunteers as they worked very hard throughout the camp and learnt a lot of things. The camp was concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Nidhi Jassal to the college principal, all the participants, and supporters of the camp, which was followed by the NSS song. College Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, commended the volunteers for their zealous spirit for rendering selfless work, which volunteers displayed during the camp. She also appreciated the involvement, hard work, and pious work done by the volunteers during the camp and exhorted them to continue participating in the activities of social welfare. Madam Principal congratulated the programme officers, Dr. Lalit Kumar and Nidhi Jassal, and the whole team of NSS for making this camp a great success.
