On March 8th, 2025, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, observed Women’s Day by organizing a comprehensive Dental and Health Checkup Camp. Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal event was spearheaded by the Medical Health Checkup Committee, Red Ribbon Club, NCC Wing and NSS Unit Expert Health Checkups and Awareness Sessions A team of dental experts, led by Dr. Vivek V. Gupta, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Christian Dental College, Ludhiana (CMC), conducted general dental checkups for the students. Dr. Taman was the team incharge of dental check up team. They provided valuable insights into common dental issues during adolescence, including orthodontic treatment.

In addition, Dr. Pallavi Sharma, MD Panchkarma from Dayanand Ayurvedic College, Jalandhar, delivered an informative presentation on Polycystic Ovary Disorder (PCOD). She elaborated on the challenges associated with PCOD during adolescence, addressing queries from approximately 700 students in attendance. Principal Dr. Savinder Pal commended the efforts of the organizing team from the Medical Health Checkup Committee, Red Ribbon Society, NSS Unit and NCC Wing acknowledging their dedication to promoting health awareness among students.
